Materials: American Thread Co., knitting worsted, 2-1 1/4 oz. Skeins Wild Rose or any Color desired and 1- 1 1/4 oz. Skeins White; 2 Small Buttons for Eyes; Crochet Hook #4.

Note: Work soles as directed below, working one section in rose and one in white or colors of choice.

Soles: Sizes 5-7-9.

Directions are given for size 5, other sizes are given in brackets.

Ch 18, (20-22), work 2 sc in 2nd st from hook, 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in each of the next 13 sts, (15-17) 2 sc in next st, 3 sc in next st, working on other side of ch, 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in each of the next 13 sts, (15-17) 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in same space with 1st 2 sc, join.

2nd Round—Ch 1, 1 sc in same space, 2 sc in each of the next 2 sc, 1 sc in each of the next 15 sc, (17-19) 2 sc in each of the next 5 sc, 1 sc in each of the next 15 sc, (17,19) 2 sc in each remaining sc, join.

3rd Round—Toe: Ch 2, 1 dc in same space, 2 dc in each of the next 2 sts, 1 dc in each of the next 8 sts, (9,10) instep, 1 sc in each of the next 11 sts, (12,13) 2 sc in each of the next 6 sts, (7,8) 1 sc in each of the next 11 sts, (12,13) 1 dc in each of the next 8 sts, (9,10) 2 dc in each remaining sts of toe, join. 

Work 1 row of sc all around, break yarn and work another sole in same manner. Crochet the 2 soles together with a row of sc inserting an inner sole if desired.

UPPER SECTIONS—Directions are given for size 9, sizes 5 and 7 are given in brackets. Ch 77 (73-75) about 16 inches and work 76 sc on ch, (72-74).

2nd Row—Ch 1, turn, insert needle in 3rd st from hook, draw loop through and pull up about 1/2 inch, yarn over, insert needle in 2nd st from beginning, draw loop through, yarn over and pull through all 4 loops on needle, ch 1, * skip - sc, insert needle in next sc, draw loop through and up about l/2 inch, yarn over, insert needle in sc just skipped, draw loop through, yarn over and pull through all 4 loops on needle, ch 1. This completes a pattern, repeat from * to end of row, 1 sc in last sc.

3rd Row—Ch 1, turn, skip the 1st pattern, insert needle in loop of 2nd pattern, draw loop through and up about 1/2 inch, yarn over, insert needle under the ch 1 between the 1st 2 patterns, draw loop through, yarn over and pull through all 4 loops on needle, ch 1, * skip the ch 1, insert needle in loop of next pattern, draw loop through and up about 1/2 inch, yarn over, insert needle under the ch 1 just skipped, draw loop through, yarn over and pull through all loops on needle, ch 1, repeat from * to end of row. Repeat 3rd row 4 times.

8th Row—Ch 1, turn, skip the last pattern and next ch 1, sc in loop of 2nd pattern, skip next ch 1, sc in loop of next pattern, ch 1 and continue in pattern omitting the ch 1 after each pattern and working to within the last 2 patterns, then work 1 sc in loop of each of last 2 patterns to correspond with 1st 2 patterns.

9th Row—Ch 3, turn, 2 d c in same space, skip 1 st, sc in next st, * ch 3, 2 dc in same space, skip 1 st, sc in next st, repeat from * all around, break yarn. Fold slipper and sew toe, matching rows.

Bunny Ears: With white, ch 9 and work 8 sc on ch, work 1 more row of sc eve, then decrease 1 st at the beginning of each row until 1 st remains, break yarn and work another ear.

Head: Ch 7, work 2 sc in 2nd st from hook, 1 sc in each of the next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st. Top of Head: Working on opposite side of ch, 1 sc in each st, then work 1 sc in each sc all around, break yarn. Sew Ears to head as shown in photo above and sew to slipper. Sew eyes in position.
