Facts About Jesus

YES! It's a fact that Jesus of Nazareth lived in the land of Israel about 2000 years ago. He was born to Mary and Joseph, taught large groups of people about God, performed many miracles and was crucified on a cross.

Here are some other facts about Jesus that are found in the Bible:

*       While Joseph reared Him as his own son, Jesus' true Father was God Himself. Mary became pregnant with Jesus while she was still a virgin.

*       Jesus was not just a teacher and miracle-worker; He is the Anointed of God.

*       Jesus challenged the established Jewish religion because they had lost sight of God's true expectations and desires.

*       Jesus' death was a voluntary, substitutionary act of love whereby a person's sins can be forever cleansed.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

The necessary truths you must believe about what Jesus Christ did are that He lived a perfect, sinless life (2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 2:22, 1 John 3:5), died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins (1 John 2:2, Romans 3:25), and rose again from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:3-5, Acts 1:1-3).

The most important thing, though, is to believe who Jesus Christ is - God in the flesh (John 1:1, 14).

It is bizarre that people today would deny that Jesus Christ claimed to be God, since that was why the religious leaders of His time wanted Him killed (John 5:18, 10:29-33, Luke 22:66-71). He is indeed God and He has the power and authority to save you by His precious blood, which was shed for you on the cross.

" (John 20:31). Don't simply believe some things about Jesus Christ, but put your trust in Him to save you.
