Hi everybody;
We have purchased a second
hand 1993 Ford Econoline van. It is in mint condition, thanks to Uncle Ron
Seguin who was the previous owner. We have installed a second hand wheelchair
lift in the Ford van. I absolutely love it, and so do the kids because it has
a built in TV!
There is a neat story behind the
wheelchair lift. We had been praying for a good second-hand wheelchair lift,
that would be reasonably priced. Stephane out of the blue got an idea to check
with the scrap yard and so he went. Mr. Mondoux, the proprietor said that
indeed he had a wrecked van with a lift for the last 2 years. He asked for who
the lift was for and Stephane replied for my wife! He said, if you can get it
out on your own you can have it!
We got it free from Mondoux's
Scrap yard! It came from a car wreck and had been sitting there for 2 years,
just waiting for us! The saying "Diamonds in Rough ", really applies here
because a new wheelchair lift is 9 000 or 10 000 dollars and we were not able
to afford that! Somebody's junk is our diamonds! ! Who could of predicted this?
My grandfather is thoroughly impressed, since he believes in keeping old
and/or used stuff, just in case!
You have it, proof that my motto
"If you don't ask, you can not receive! ", works! I know that some don't
appreciate my motto but like my Mom and Aunt Lou used to say "Too bad", I
believe that it is also found in the Bible in the book of Matthew Chapter 7,
verses 7 & 8 ! Dream big, with big faith! God is good!
We would like to thank everybody
who have and continue to pray for us ! It works!
Attached are pictures of the van and wheelchair
lift!
Love;
